US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia, Donald Lowe, has said that President Biden has asked the US House of Representatives Committee for $10 million in aid to Pakistan.

On the occasion of the appearance in the committee of the American House of Representatives, Donald Lowe said that the focus is on supporting democracy and human rights in Pakistan, US President Joe Biden has requested 10 million dollars in aid for Pakistan.


US Assistant Secretary Donald Lowe told the committee that the aid money will be given to Pakistan in the form of loans for the war against terrorism, economic reforms, while the money will help Pakistan stabilize its economy.


The US assistant secretary added that our full focus is on democracy and human rights in Pakistan.


It should be noted that the US House of Representatives passed a resolution with an overwhelming majority in November 2018, expressing concern over the state of democracy and human rights in Pakistan.


Later, Pakistan reacted strongly to the resolution, disproving all fears and passing a resolution in the National Assembly rejecting the US resolution.


In a resolution passed by the National Assembly on June 28, it was said that the House expressed concern over the resolution of the US House of Representatives, the House expressed concern over the remarks about the use of votes of Pakistanis in the February 2024 elections. does.


The resolution said that the American resolution is not completely based on facts, Pakistan is a free and independent country which will not tolerate interference in its internal affairs.

For the next 15 days, the per liter price of petrol is expected to decrease by 5 rupees 50 paise and the per liter price of diesel is expected to decrease by 11 rupees.

Similarly, the price of kerosene is likely to decrease by Rs 5.84 per liter and light diesel by Rs 5 per litre.

During the last 10 days, crude oil became cheaper in the global market. Ogra will determine the prices today according to the global market ratio.


A formal notification of prices will be issued with the final approval of the Prime Minister.
